It’s all go this summer at St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art and Provand’s Lordship,   with our exciting summer programme of free activities designed for families.

You’ll find activities such as printing, terrariums and banner making, plus to celebrate the 2026 Commonwealth Games we explore unicorns (like Finnie!) and make shuttlecock birds. 

Activities are on 2-4pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the summer holidays, except 5 and 6 July.

Nature Printing

Discover the magical and medicinal plants in the secret garden! Learn about their stories and how to make prints of the different species you find, exploring cyanotype, lino printing and gel plate printing techniques!

Terrariums

Join us for an afternoon of relaxing crafting, making your own Terrarium inspired by the objects and atmosphere of the museum.

Banner Making

Celebrate the history of banners and how they have helped spread important messages from different groups! Make your own banner about something important to you.

Unicorn Crafts

To celebrate Finnie the 2026 Commonwealth Games mascot join us to learn about the magical myths surrounding Scotland’s national animal and make your very own unicorn-inspired artwork to take away.

4, 5 and 6 August

Shuttlecock Crafts

Celebrate the 2026 Commonwealth games by making your own lucky birds out of shuttlecocks that were used in competitive badminton matches. Join us in the hidden garden to be inspired by the birds that live there!
