We’re pleased to host an exhibition display of posters from the Nice 'N' Sleazy's archive. At this point, it’s fair to say that Glasgow institution Nice 'N' Sleazy has transcended its status as an ‘exclusively indie niche’.
Nice ‘N’
Sleazy has been a stalwart of the Glasgow music scene since 1991. A staple in
the city’s nightlife and home to many a blossoming scene that took Glasgow
artists to worldwide stages. Proudly independent, Sleazy’s has hosted countless
punk all dayers, gigs from touring artists you can now find headlining arenas
internationally, and helped club nights that are now staples in the city, and
beyond, find their feet.
If there was
a cultural shift that was responsible for a new boom of music and art in the
city, odds are it came from inside Nice N Sleazy’s basement. You’ll find DJs in
the red lit, graffiti covered upstairs bar every weekend spinning everything
from punk, hardcore and shoegaze, to underground techno and weirdo electro.
Downstairs, you'll find the wee 200 capacity charming checkered floored, red
leather adorned dance hall: the perfect place to dance until the early hours
and experience intimate performances from local heroes, underground legends,
and touring bands on the cusp of glory.
2026 marks
35 years of Nice ‘N’ Sleazy - a Glasgow institution in every sense of the word.
Here’s to the next 35!
