More tickets go on sale for landmark UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup round in Glasgow as ticket sales exceed 10,000
British Cycling Ventures is building on the momentum of this summer’s Lloyds Tour of Britain Women and Men with over 10,000 tickets sold for the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup fixture in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow on Sunday 13 December 2026.
With the initial allocation exceeding expectations, a further 2,000 tickets have been released for the event.
Building on the back of the hugely successful Lloyds Tour of Britain recently which saw thousands of spectators head for the roadside and engage with activities in the Tour villages, the popularity of the ticket sales for the World Cup event to date demonstrates the strong appetite for bringing world-class cycling experiences closer to communities and inspiring more people to connect with the cycling.
The demand also shows the breadth of cycling’s appeal in the UK and the opportunity for British Cycling Ventures to build a portfolio of major events across different disciplines, giving existing fans more opportunities to experience world-class racing while attracting new audiences to the sport.
With more details on timetable, events and riders expected in the coming weeks, fans are encouraged to get their tickets very soon to avoid disappointment.
Cyclo-cross has attracted multi-discipline international stars including Zoe Backstedt who won silver in the time-trial at the UCI Road World Championships recently.
Scotland’s Cameron Mason has also been among the leading Britons in recent years, winning UCI world medals. Mountain bike Olympic Champion Tom Pidcock (GBR), Mathieu van der Poel (NED) and Lucinda Brand (NED) are all others who have starred in the discipline in recent years.
The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – run by the UCI and Flanders Classics – is the premier series of the UCI Cyclo-cross International Calendar, bringing the world’s best riders to a spectacular festival of cycling each winter, attracting thousands of spectators to experience the thrill of fast and furious racing on the mud and across challenging obstacles. British Cycling Ventures is working closely with Flanders Classics, Visit Scotland and Glasgow Life to deliver the event.
