Colleague Feedback Survey FAQs

2025 Colleague Feedback Survey – your questions answered

We want to hear from you! The Colleague Feedback Survey is your chance to share your views, help shape Glasgow Life, and make sure it’s a great place for us all to work.

Here are answers to the most common questions colleagues ask:

Why are we doing the survey?

Your opinion matters. By taking part, you help us understand what’s working well and where we can improve. Each year, your feedback shapes our Commitments and drives real changes. You can see updates on the Colleague Information pages.

Will it really be anonymous?

Yes – 100%. The survey is entirely anonymous and not linked to MyPortal or SAP. To protect your privacy, results are only shared for departments where at least 14 people have completed the survey. If fewer than 14 colleagues respond, we will group the answers into the wider service area.

Do I have to take part?

It’s your choice. The survey is optional – but the more of us who complete it, the more powerful and accurate the results are. Last year, nearly half of colleagues took part. Their feedback led to real improvements.

How long does it take?

It only takes about 10–15 minutes to complete.

When does the survey close?

You have until Friday 17 October 2025 to take part.

Do I need to answer every question?

We encourage you to answer all the questions so we get the clearest picture of colleagues’ views. We only include fully completed surveys in the results.

What kind of questions will I see?

The survey has 30 statements about Glasgow Life, your role, and your manager. For each one, you’ll choose how often it feels true for you:

5 Always | 4 Usually | 3 Sometimes | 2 Rarely | 1 Never

Will I get to see the results?

Yes. Once the survey closes and we have analysed the data, we will share the results with everyone. You’ll be able to see the full results. Where 14 or more people responded, you will see the results for individual service areas and teams.

What happens with the results?

Each service area reviews its results as a team. They will celebrate successes and decide where to improve. These discussions shape the Commitments for the year ahead.

I work across different service areas – which one should I choose?

Please select the service area where you usually work the most hours.

Do I have to fill it in online?

Not at all. If you prefer, ask your manager or HR for a paper copy and return it to the HR Office.

Who can I speak to if I have questions?

You can talk to your manager or get in touch with the HR Team if you need more information.

Other Questions You Might Have

When will you share the results?

We will share the results later in the year through internal communications.

Can I change my answers once submitted?

No, once you submit the survey, your answers are final.

What if I don’t understand a question?

If you’re unsure, you can ask your manager or HR for guidance before completing the survey.

How do I know my feedback makes a difference?

We have spoken to each of the heads of service about the commitments they made after last year's survey. You can find these updates on our Commitments page.

Your voice matters. Please take 10 minutes to share your views and help shape the future of Glasgow Life.
