Donate your unused musical instruments

Got an unused instrument at home? Let us give it a second wind... or strum... or pluck...

With the support of Music Education Partnership Group (MEPG) and the We Make Music Instrument Libraries network, Glasgow Life Libraries relaunched our musical instrument lending service at The Mitchell and Ibrox Library.

The response has been incredible... Glasgow Life Library members have borrowed every single instrument stored at The Mitchell Library!

Instruments can still be reserved and borrowed, but to keep the music growing we need your help.

If you have an instrument that deserves a second life, please consider donating it. We welcome all instruments except acoustic pianos and drum kits (they're too big for our shelves).

How to donate

Simply drop your instruments off at The Mitchell or Ibrox Library.
