Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week: Taking Action Together

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. This year’s theme is action.

At Glasgow Life, we help people feel happier and healthier every day through culture, learning, sport, and physical activity.

Our Live Well programme helps people join local groups, activities, and services. It supports people who may feel lonely, worried, or unsure about taking part in things in their community.

Paddy’s story shows how support can make a big difference.

Paddy first joined a local health walk to get out and meet people. Now, he helps lead the walk. Along the way, he made new friends, grew in confidence, and joined other community groups.

His story shows that small steps can lead to big changes.

Mental Health Awareness Week is also a good time to remember that support is available for colleagues too. Our My Wellbeing pages have information and support on mental health, stress, anxiety, wellbeing, physical activity, PAM Wellness, and more.

If you would like to speak to someone about your mental health or any aspect of your wellbeing, you can contact PAM Wellness. It's free, confidential and available 24/7. Find out more about the new PAM Wellness app here.

You can find out more on our My Wellbeing A–Z pages.

This week, think about one small action you could take. You could try something new, check in with a colleague, or take some time to look after your own wellbeing.

Small actions matter.
