World Menopause Day Sunday 18 October 2026
October is World Menopause Awareness Month with Sunday 18 October celebrated as World Menopause Awareness Day. It's a chance to raise awareness, share support, and start conversations that matter.
This year's theme is Chronic Pain At Midlife. Chronic pain affects a significant proportion of women during and after the menopause transition, yet it remains underestimated in both research and care. The 2026 campaign brings together trusted information and practical guidance to support better recognition and care worldwide.
Menopause is a natural part of life. But it can bring changes that affect how we feel at work and at home. Talking about it helps. So does knowing where to find support.
We're proud to support colleagues through every stage of life. Our My Wellbeing pages include practical advice and helpful links. You'll find tips on managing symptoms, talking to your manager, and supporting others. Some of our libraries, like Woodside, Parkhead, and Elder Park, host free, drop-in sessions led by the Menopause Warriors support group. Offering a space to share experiences and advice.
