Young people from Glasgow share their work with Northern Ireland visitors
Recently, seven students from Cleveden and Knightswood Secondary Schools led an interactive session about health issues in their community. They learned about these topics through a course with Glasgow Life’s North West Youth Team. The students showed real confidence and knowledge during the event. Twelve young people from Northern Ireland also attended to learn from our youth work.
This visit was part of the Common Ground Exchange. A six-month project between Scotland and Northern Ireland. The project helps young people and community leaders share ideas and build skills. The Northern Ireland Office funded the exchange, and organisations in both countries helped deliver it.
The work is continuing. The Scottish delegates have committed to building on what they started. They plan to meet both online and in person to develop their ideas further, and they are already looking for funding to help the project grow.
