Call out for people effected by fires on Sauchiehall Street

Get involved

Were you affected by the fires around Sauchiehall Street?
Were you displaced from your home?
Was your business affected in the wake of the fire?
Were you a student who lost work in the Art School fire?

We want to meet anyone who was directly affected by one of Glasgow’s many fires. We know that the impact of the fires that blazed around Sauchiehall Street continue to be felt today, with fire-ravaged sites visible around the city. But we want to understand more about the human toll of these fires, the resilience of local people and what recovery means here.

We are artists making a new project, 24 Things to Tell You, happening continually for 24 hours in April, working with local people to install 24 different artworks on Sauchiehall Street — one every hour of the day, including all the way through the night. Throughout this day, a range of different opinions, memories or future visions of the street will be brought to life in public space.

We want to capture all sides of Glasgow’s enduring and complex relationship to Sauchiehall Street, and we need you to make it happen.
