Visual Artist and Craft Maker Award

The Visual Artist and Craft Maker Awards 2021/2022 are now open for applications

Run in partnership with Creative Scotland, these awards are available for individual artists and makers, based or resident in Glasgow.

In recognition of the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 on individual artists and makers, the scheme will continue to provide fixed bursaries at two levels:

Early-career bursaries of £500
(Applicants must have less than 5 years’ experience outside of education/training, graduated in 2016 or later, or have not studied art formally but have been practising as an artist for up to 5 years).

Bursaries of £750 for more Established Artists/Makers

There will be two funding rounds in 2021/2022, the closing dates are:
Autumn Deadline Tuesday 26th October 2021 at 5.00pm
Winter Deadline Tuesday 1st February 2022 at 5.00pm

To apply for funding, you must submit a completed Application Form to gl.learningteam@glasgowlife.org.uk.

Please download and read our Guidelines and Artist's Check List to assist you in your application.

We also request all applicants submit a completed Equalities Monitoring Form to give us essential statistical information about who our applicants are, and who we’re funding.
