Saffy Setohy is an artist from a dance background, and Margaret Kerr is a visual artist. They have been working together, in collaboration with other artists and a wide range of community members in Possilpark, to make artworks and facilitate events in creative response to Cowlairs a large area of local green space and ‘derelict’ land marked for housing development.

LATEST NEWS

Over the coming months, Saffy, Margaret and collaborators will continue to work closely with community members in Possilpark to explore, understand and celebrate tree life in Cowlairs.

Through a range of walking, movement, visual arts, photography and citizen science activities, they will generate co-created artworks to be shared in a public exhibition in Possilpark Library, opening on the afternoon of Wednesday 7 February.

Alongside this, Saffy and Margaret are working with Clyde Climate Forest/Green Action Trust and Glasgow City Council to map tree life in Cowlairs and understand how to enhance and support this precious green ecology. This mapping will inform a community tree planting event, meal and film screening on Saturday 16 March.
