Advocacy.Scot in Libraries – Launch Event

Glasgow Life Libraries are delighted to be welcoming Advice Direct Scotland as a Co-Location partner into our Community Libraries.

Advice Direct Scotland (ADS) is a national charity providing free, independent and impartial advice to people across Scotland. They support individuals to resolve issues, maximise their income and access the help they are entitled to. 

Some of the key services they offer include:

• Benefits and welfare advice – support with benefit checks, applications and Social Security Scotland advocacy.
• Money and debt advice – budgeting, debt management and financial wellbeing.
• Energy advice – help with high energy bills, supplier disputes, fuel poverty and accessing grants or support schemes.
• Consumer advice – advice on faulty goods, scams, refunds, rogue traders and consumer rights.
• Employment and housing advice – guidance on workplace issues and housing-related concerns.
• Postal services advice – help with complaints or issues relating to postal services
  
  

ADS will be offering drop-in sessions in the following Community Libraries –

• Bridgeton Library

• Dennistoun Library

• Elder Park Library

• Knightswood Library

• Maryhill Library

We are having a launch event on 21^st July Elder Park Library from 12-2pm.
