David Latto is one of Scotland’s most exciting up and coming folk artists. Taking inspiration from place, nature and people- he weaves his experiences into poetic stories and songs, rich with meaning, that resonate and remain with audiences long after the performance. David has performed across the UK and in Europe, and recently opened for Amythyst Kiah, Rose Cousins and Roseanne Reid. David’s music continues to find an audience online and has been featured across the BBC radio network including BBC Scotland, Ulster, Wales, Norfolk, Alba and Kent. Ralph McLean from BBC Radio Ulster described David as “a brilliant songwriter” upon the release of his recent single ‘Far from the Light’.

In January 2021, David was selected as Fife’s Artist in Residence where he was commissioned to write songs based on lockdown conversations held with elderly members of the community in his native Kirkcaldy.
