11:30AM - 12:30PM
Join the BIPC Glasgow team in the Mitchell Library as part of Small Business Saturday and find out how our resources can help your business to be more environmentally responsible. We know both entrepreneurs and consumers have a part to play in reducing our impact on the planet, so whether that’s understanding legislation and support available, learning what your customers expect, finding ways to reduce and assess your impact, or researching the latest trends and innovation around sustainability, we have tools that can help.

Resources covered include:

COBRA – An easy to use and database providing hundreds of factsheets written by business experts. The guides cover everything from understanding legislation to green sector updates and finding sources of support.

Mintel – The world’s leading market research resource. It offers analysis of ethical consumers, ethical lifestyle reports, consumer values, and podcasts and insights from experts on topics such as sustainable packaging.

British Standards Online – We provide full read-only access to British and adopted European and International standards. These include environmental management, ecodesign, environmental performance evaluation, and much more.

This workshop will guide you through these resources and will also cover where to find external support. The workshop will be delivered in line with the Scottish Government’s Covid-19 Strategic Framework. The guidance currently stipulates ‘it will continue to be the law, subject to exceptions, that face coverings must be worn in indoor public places and on public transport’.
