Nowadays known worldwide as Gwyllyn the Bard in Outlander, Gillebrìde MacMillan has long ranked among Scotland’s finest Gaelic artists, a stature further affirmed by his 2018 album Freumhan Falaichte – Hidden Roots. Here he performs its all-original Gaelic songs, addressing issues from personal heartache to the refugee crisis, with Mhairi Hall, Fraser Fifield, Ewan MacPherson and Donald Hay. “An enormously significant album. . . breathtakingly accomplished” (FRUK)

Premiering new material from their much-anticipated album, Trad duo Rachel and Ron present Scotland's most ancient of instruments, the clarsach (Scottish harp) with the acoustic guitar. Influenced by Rachel’s Highland upbringing and Ron’s North-East roots, their passion for traditional music shines through with a repertoire rich in driving melodies both old and new, forcing the listener to leave all stereotypical images of the harp at home.
