In the summer of 2019, Glasgow Southside’s cultural hub, The Glad Cafe found itself needing to find £40,000 for major roof repairs or face closure. They decided to start a Crowdfunder campaign and Glad Cafe frequenter and Modern Studies frontwoman, Emily Scott curated and funded the manufacture of a compilation CD, to be one of the rewards in the campaign. The Music of Others featured some of Scotland’s best indie acts, covering eachother’s songs. At this event, Rick Redbeard, BEAM, Lomond Campbell, Kim Moore, Richard Youngs, Robin Adams and Jamie Scott will perform their cover from the project as well as one of their own in an ‘in the round’ setting.

“...a record of quiet, inventive brilliance, something meaningful and familial, buoyed by community and alliance; a skewed map of a landscape you recognise but never quite understand.” - Gold Flake Paint
