A free, youth‑led celebration of street art and music in Glasgow, powered by SWG3 and based in the Glasgow Riverside Innovation District. Open to ages 11–19 from Govan, Partick, Yorkhill and Anderston, the four‑week programme offers hands-on workshops in graffiti, street art and electronic music. Led by artists and DJs, young people learn real skills and finish with a high‑energy showcase of murals and live music.

With two sessions each week, participants learn real skills—from spray painting, lettering and colour to music production and performance—guided by professional artists, DJs and peer mentors. Inspired by artists from around the world at the Yardworks Festival, young people connect to a global creative scene while developing their own unique style. Through “Music Is the Answer,” they create original tracks using industry-standard equipment and discover how music comes to life in clubs and festivals. Everything is designed to make it easy to take part, with meals, safe spaces and ongoing support provided throughout. The programme builds towards “Piece & Jam,” a high-energy, youth-led showcase where participants take charge—planning and delivering a live event filled with music, murals and creative energy.

Alongside this, guided walking and cycling mural tours invite the wider community to explore over 40 artworks across the district. GRID Futures isn’t just a project—it’s a chance for young people to shape the future of Glasgow’s culture.
