Llan de Cubel showcase material collected by Asturian ethnographers supplemented by newer compositions inspired by these primary sources. The recordings and festival performances of Llan de Cubel have enticed many well-known Celtic artists from Scotland, Ireland and further afield to interpret and adopt this Asturian repertoire into their own work. They will perform material from their latest release La Lluz Encesa for the first time in the UK alongside favourites from previous recordings in this welcome return to Celtic Connections to celebrate this special 40th anniversary.
