Fergus McCreadie and Matt Carmichael are two of the most exiting young musicians in Scotland. Still in their early 20’s, they first through the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland and have maintained a strong musical relationship ever since. Their own music reflects a shared love for both folk and jazz music, full of beautiful melodies and atmospheric landscapes combined with virtuosic improvisation.

Matt and Fergus have performed at Ronnie Scott’s, The Usher Hall, Edinburgh Jazz Festival, Latitude Festival and have had their music played on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Scotland and Jazz FM. Fergus’ debut album ‘Turas’ won ‘Best Album’ in the Scottish Jazz Awards and was in the SAY Award shortlist. Matt was listed as ‘One to Watch in 2019’ by Jazzwise Magazine and has plans to record his debut album.
