Due to demand Glasgow Museums are offering new dates for their free Museums & Older People training. These training days are aimed at people working with older people’s groups in Glasgow. The training is open to care staff, managers and volunteers.
Would you like to know more about what Glasgow Museums can offer for older people’s groups? Come along for this special behind the scenes visit to Glasgow Museums Resource Centre, our museum store. The visit will include a tour of this vast building with rooms full of fantastic objects, from animals to armour, fine art to fossils, and much, much more!
We will also offer training on running reminiscence with your group and an induction to the Open Museum kit stores, which will enable you to borrow our vast array of reminiscence and handling kits. (Please note only groups who work within the Glasgow City Council boundaries can borrow these kits).
Tea and coffee will also be available.
Dates:
25 February 10-12:30
26 May 10-12:30
27 October 10-12:30
All of these training sessions will be held at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre, 200 Woodhead Road, Nitshill. G53 7NN. Find out more about the venue.
