A new year is the perfect time to discover a new author or activity by attending one (or all!) of our free New Chapter events between February- March.
Join award winning crime author Tariq Ashkanani at Langside Library for a free introductory crime writing workshop. Tariq will provide insight into his own approach to writing about crime and provide helpful tips and advice.
Tariq Ashkanani is a solicitor based in Edinburgh, whose debut novel Welcome to Cooper was shortlisted for the CWA New Blood Dagger and won the Bloody Scotland Debut Award.

Designed by Glasgow School of Art Students in the 1920’s, the twenty-one foot by seven foot mural for Langside Library was entitled ‘Queen Mary at the Battle of Langside’ and was official handed over to the Corporation of the City of Glasgow on the 6th January 1920.
