It’s a warm welcome back to the popular TV presenter and traveller Paul Murton. Paul has long had a love of the Viking north - the island groups of Orkney and Shetland - which, for centuries, were part of the Nordic world as depicted in the great classic the Orkneyinga Saga. His latest book is full of history, anecdotes and encounters with those who live there, From a sing-along with the Shanty Yell Boys to fishing off Muckle Flugga, from sword dancing with the men of Papa Stour to a Norwegian pub crawl in Lerwick, Paul explores their extraordinarily rich heritage.

Parking
Please note that there is on-street surrounding The Mitchell Library, from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday this is metered. As this is also a local residential area, please use these spaces considerately. Alternatively, there is an a NCP Car Park on India Street next to Charing Cross Train Station which is a 2 minute walk away.
Photography and video recording
On occasion, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.
