A collection of songs shaped by personal reflection and emotional honesty. Rianne describes the record as “the product of the consequence of love,” with each song capturing the fragile nature of life and the bittersweet moments that define our relationships.
Rianne’s journey from busking in Glasgow to performing on major stages is a testament to her talent and determination. Having recently played a massive show with Paul Heaton at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane and dazzled crowds at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, she continues to win hearts with her captivating live performances. This summer, she joins Paul Heaton and supports Texas on tour, bringing her unique blend of country, folk, and rock to audiences across the UK.
Produced by Grammy winner Ryan Hadlock at Seattle’s Bear Creek Studio, The Consequence of Love features ten tracks that showcase Rianne’s distinctive voice and songwriting prowess. Influenced by legends like Patsy Cline, Joni Mitchell, and Fleetwood Mac, as well as contemporary artists such as Sierra Ferrel and Noah Kahan, Rianne Downey is poised to make a lasting impact with her debut. Restoration fund

There are accessible toilets located to the right of the entrance to the auditorium on the ground floor and on the balcony adjacent to the Candleriggs Bar.

Guide and assistance dogs are welcome and are allowed in the auditorium.

There are designated spaces for wheelchair users. A companion is welcome to sit with you.

Free wifi
There is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with the Old Fruitmarket Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.
