Sara Parkman invites audiences into a powerful and deeply atmospheric world where Nordic folk traditions meet bold contemporary expression.
Led by expressive violin playing and a distinctive vocal presence, the performance moves fluidly between intimate moments of reflection and sweeping passages of emotional intensity. Traditional melodies, layered textures and modern influences combine to create a sound that feels both ancient and strikingly current, drawing listeners into themes of nature, community, spirituality and human connection.
Throughout the evening, rhythm, voice and melody work together to create an immersive experience that is as thought-provoking as it is musically captivating. Known for treating folk music as a living, evolving art form, Parkman’s performances balance raw energy with moments of delicate beauty, offering audiences a fresh perspective on tradition.
