Look out for the Watershed team and their cargo bike at ‘Anchor Points’ on the city stretch of the River Clyde across two weekends  during the Commonwealth Games.

The team will share poetry from a cargo bike carrying a specially commissioned, free-at source, anthology featuring river themed poems from commonwealth poets. There will also be four ‘Anchor Points’ on the city stretch of the River Clyde with QR codes linking to online films and recordings, where you can listen to the poems being aloud. The team will start at The Briggait.

Poetry Pop-up is part of the wider Watershed programme of events exploring the River Clyde, nature rights and Commonwealth Rivers as part of the Merchant City Festival, held within the Briggait across two weekends of 24th-26th July and 31st July-2nd August 2026, during the Commonwealth Games.
