McKenna’s richly stirring voice and songcraft anchor a dynamic, finely-honed blend of Scottish and Irish tradition with deft pop and rock accents.
Rooted in the hybrid traditions of Canada’s Prince Edward Island, The East Pointers are one of Canada’s hottest recent roots acts, hence the nigh-on fevered anticipation attending October’s third album Yours to Break. Vibrant three-part harmonies, heart-tugging hooks, bluegrass-hued breakdowns and artful indie twists all feature in the mix, together with potent lyrics and muscular instrumental work.
