A shipwreck laden with the finest Glasgow pottery and lost for over 150 years was rediscovered last year off the coast of Arran. Bell’s Pottery was one of the largest and most important of the city’s many ceramic manufacturers. They exported all over the world and were very successful in the Far East.

’Drawing inspiration from the famous ‘willow pattern’ found in the original Willow Tearooms, join Make It Glasgow to explore this history through ceramics and making during this hands-on session. Bring your wee ones to make a tile to contribute to a collection, taste some teas from the Mackintosh Tearooms and transport yourself back to Glasgow’s tea era!

You’ll leave with a badge to take home, and your tile will be added to a collection.

This is a FREE event, but booking is required

Recommended age: 3+ with parent/career supervision
