Saxophonist Tommy Smith and pianist Brian Kellock are Scotland’s international jazz ambassadors, having wowed audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. Acclaimed as “world class” by Jazz Journal magazine, they are master musicians who spin classic songs into creative gold and have found fresh inspiration through working with Kathleen MacInnes, owner of one of the great voices in Gaelic singing.
Under the Surface is a new Dutch band formed by drummer Joost Lijbaart, guitarist Bram Stadhouders and vocalist Sanne Rambags. Their debut album released on Challenge Records in 2017 was nominated for an Edison.
