Join in a three‑day dance celebration bringing people together to explore whacking. Find out more about the dance style through discussions, a documentary, workshops, open jams, showcases, and battles. The programme includes workshops, talks, film screenings, open dance sessions and live performances. Whacking began in LGBTQ+ clubs in 1970s Los Angeles. Created by dancers of colour, today, it offers a space for expression, joy and resistance. The event welcomes people of all backgrounds to move, learn and connect through dance.
