Californian alternative rock band CAKE “epitomised the postmodern, irony-drenched aesthetic of '90s geek rock.” (AllMusic).  The clever and satiric rockers, best-known for their ubiquitous hit The Distance, are fronted by John McCrea with his sarcastic lyrics and monotone vocals. They have wide-ranging musical influences, including country music, mariachi, rock, funk, Iranian folk music and hip hop, and the recent release of the single ‘Sinking Ship’ precedes their much-anticipated seventh studio album.

Texas’ genre-bending rock ‘n’ roller Israel Nash brings his modern-day hippie-spiritual tonic, an escape from the daily grid, with beds of strings and horns and well-adorned towering walls of sound.
