Still only in his early 20s, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has already earned acclaim as an outstanding blues virtuoso, winning numerous industry awards as well as personal praise from veteran blues icon Buddy Guy. Born and raised in Clarksdale, Mississippi, he extends his mastery across both Delta and Chicago styles – and beyond - matching phenomenal guitar work with rich, soulful vocals and eloquent songwriting. Reaching audiences through YouTube and Netflix TV exposure as well as the established blues circuit, he’s built a multi-generational fanbase that’s rare in the genre, but which aptly reflects his timeless but contemporary artistry.
“A sound that encompasses B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix and Prince” (Rolling Stone)
Glasgow four-piece Blue Milk – winners of a Danny Kyle Open Stage Award at Celtic Connections 2021 – also put their own individual spin on classic blues sounds, from vintage Delta to 1960s/70s blues-rock, in a high-octane mix of originals and oldies.
