After a powerful debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2025, Palestinian singer and songwriter Amal Kaawash returns to Scotland. Accompanied once again by the brilliant guitarist Joe Aouad, Amal is also joined by Georges Cheikh, a gifted multi-instrumentalist who performs on both the nay and the buzuk; an instrument he not only masters but also handcrafts himself. Together, the trio brings to life a blend of Arabic music, jazz, and storytelling. Amal Kaawash brings to life songs from the Palestinian tradition, alongside her own original compositions rooted in her experience as a Palestinian artist born in Lebanon to a family displaced from the north of Palestine in 1948.
