KC Community Choir present their Autumn Showcase this October in what will be a true celebration of the joy that comes from singing together! Bringing their signature upbeat and inclusive style to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall New Auditorium for the first time, the affectionately named “KC and the Sunshine Choir” (Glasgow Choir Festival) will leave you with a spring in your step and a song in your head.
The 2026 Autumn Showcase celebrates seven years since the choir began and brings together over 100 members in a relaxed and friendly performance suitable for all ages. Featuring music from the last seven decades and spanning various genres including Pop, Gospel, Musical Theatre and Rock, the show is guaranteed to both move and uplift you and to harness the true power and impact of community singing. There will be something for everyone!
So far this year the choir have performed at Glasgow’s Kings Theatre with the touring cast of the West End hit, Choir of Man, have taken their joy across the country with a performance at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, have featured on BBC Radio 2’s World Cup celebrations and have an upcoming performance in Hamilton Townhouse as part of the Lanarkshire Choir Collective as well as a much anticipated festive season of performances including their annual Princes Square date.
Community and charity are at the heart of the choir and to date they have raised over £20,000 for causes close to their heart including The Peter Gough Foundation, Glasgow Children’s Hospital, Marie Curie and The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
KC Community Choir was founded by leader, Kate Cameron, in September 2019 and runs in Newton Mearns and East Kilbride. The focus is always on joy and having fun through creating music together and the choir now has over 200 members ranging from those in their teens to those in their nineties.
