Join us in the Let’s Talk space as we explore our collections and bring out a selection of materials not normally on display.

To complement The Munro Society’s exhibition, The Life of Hugh Munro, which will run from 1st to 18th April, our regular #MitchellCurious strand will focus on The Munros.

We’ve searched our archive for material on and by Hugh Munro and other pioneers, including a copy of the original Tables from 1891, works by Professor Matthew Heddle, the Rev A.E. Robertson, and W.H. Murray. We’ll be showing material from our Tom Weir Collection including some of his stunning photographs. There will be maps, a selection of walking and rambling journals and a wide range of books including a history of the Ladies Scottish Climbing Club. We’ll also have a selection of lending material available to borrow.
