Barbie®: The Exhibition

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum 13 June - 18 October 2026
Two Barbie dolls side by side. One has blonde hair in curls and a ponytail, gold hoop earrings, and a black-and-white striped strapless dress. The other has long brown braided hair, blue earrings, white cat-eye sunglasses, and a black-and-white patterned strapless dress.

This major new exhibition looks at the history and design of the world’s most famous and iconic dolls. Come and celebrate how Barbie has inspired generations across the world for almost seventy years.

Featuring over 250 objects, from the very beginning to the present day, this exhibition showcases fashion, architecture, furniture and the many friends of Barbie.

A visitor stands in front of a glowing display of Barbie dream houses in pastel pink, blue, and purple, arranged in a row to resemble a colourful street.
