Glasgow 850 and the People's Palace touring displays

To help celebrate Glasgow 850 and the People's Palace while it is closed for refurbishment, two brilliant displays are touring the city.

Capturing the Moment: Glasgow then and now is a collaboration between students from Shawlands Academy and the curatorial team at Glasgow Life Museums exploring historic images of the city and displaying the students' own photographs of the city now.

Our People's Palace is a display of objects from the collection co-curated with East End community group, the Pipe Factory. Featuring fascinating items that help tell the story of the city and some of the key events that helped shape it into the city it is now.
