Get active with a walk in your community

Our Health Walks are a great way to meet new people and enjoy the fresh air. They're also a chance to take in the sights and sounds of Glasgow's beautiful parks and green spaces.

There are over 50 walks taking place across the city every week. All abilities are welcome, and it is free to attend.

Everything you need to know

Walk Leaders will be at each walk to make sure you go at a comfortable pace. Health Walks last around an hour, and we want to make sure you get the most out of it.

Before attending, you should get in touch with the listed contact to:

  • Check that there is space for new walkers.
  • See if the walk is going ahead as scheduled.

You can also contact our Good Move Wellbeing team for help and advice. Call 0141 287 0963 or email walking@glasgowlife.org.uk

The benefits of taking part have exceeded my expectations. The walks have vastly improved my mood, increased my fitness levels which then helps me greatly in everyday tasks, has assisted me in reducing my weight and more importantly gave me opportunities to socialise with other like-minded people.

Other ways to get involved

We are looking for Good Move Health Walk Leaders to support some of our walks.

Do you enjoy walking, helping others and meeting new people? Then get in touch by visiting our volunteering pages.

We also train and support organisations to set up their own walks. These can be for members as well as the local community.

Choose a time that works for your group. Contact us for more information. Call 0141 287 0963 or email walking@glasgowlife.org.uk.
