About the festival
Aye Write is Glasgow's book festival and is a celebration of books and literature, with lively discussion and debate.
Aye Write! was founded in 2005, and since 2007 has been an annual fixture on Glasgow’s culture calendar. The festival takes place primarily in the beautiful Mitchell Library, one of Europe’s largest public libraries, which has been an iconic landmark in Glasgow since it opened in 1911.
