One of the country’s finest fiddle players of his generation, Alasdair White brings his considerable talents back to Celtic Connections. A native of the Isle of Lewis, Alasdair is now resident in New York and has performed and recorded as a guest with many of the best-known names in Scottish, Irish and Breton traditional music, including Kathleen MacInnis, Julie Fowlis, Eddie Reader, Allan MacDonald and Arnaud Ciapolino.
Alasdair is joined on the bill by Ulster’s Tempest. Already regarded as a vibrant exponent of traditional Irish music and song, the group is firmly rooted in the heritage and tunes of their home province.
