Aye Write

Dates and times

Sunday 29 March 2020
6:30PM - 7:30PM
Unfortunately due to the constantly evolving coronavirus situation, Aye Write 2020 has been cancelled, and this event will no longer go ahead. We will contact ticket holders directly as soon as possible.

Andrew Greig’s Later That Day contains new works of gratitude and elegy. At once lyrical and direct, these poems take place in Glasgow, Auckland, the Scottish Lowlands and Highlands, and above all amid the clear light and bare, fertile islands of Orkney. Jim Carruth’s Bale Fire is a book in three cycles. The first explores the darker side of communities in decline. The middle is a transposition of elements and characters of the Odyssey to a Scottish hill farm and its neighbours. The final part looks at the idea of harvest and loss.
