Bring a book that is meaningful to you or your loved ones, tell us its story and explain what makes it valuable to you!
Annotations, doodles, earmarks, pressed flowers between the pages... when it came to their relationship with books, past readers were not so different from us.
With your help, in this Antiques Roadshow-style community event we will uncover connections and similarities that bring together past and present, geographic distance, and different views of the world.
This is a drop-in event suitable for adults and families, and is part of the Book Tales: Storytelling Between Text and Object series.
The humanities help us understand what it means to be human. At Being Human we believe new ideas in the study of the human world – from literature, history, classics, archaeology, art history, philosophy, languages, cultural studies, music, theatre, theology, and more – should belong to everyone.
