A Theatr Mwldan Production.

A chance to sample the best in contemporary Welsh roots music, curated by singer-songwriter and poet Gwyneth Glyn. Brother/sister-act Plu’s original Welsh-language folk-pop centres on luscious three-part harmonies, while fellow trio VRï craft elegant yet gutsy chamber-folk arrangements of Welsh and other Celtic material. Drawing on both Welsh and Bajan roots, 22-year-old Kizzy Crawford’s bilingual blend of soul, folk and jazz has earned extensive radio airplay and major festival showcases. Glyn herself, following a highly-praised duo collaboration with Indian ghazal singer Tauseef Akhtar, performs songs from 2017’s earthy yet ethereal solo release Tro, lauded by Folk Radio UK as “a poetic and deeply moving experience.”
