Oidhche shònraichte de cheòl is de dh’òrain à Uibhist a Tuath – A’ comharrachadh ceòl saidhbhir an eilein, bheir na ceòladairean ainmeil (Julie Fowlis agus Ellen NicDhòmhnaill), The Band From Rockall agus Còmhlan Thaigh Chearsabhagh anns a bheil Pàdraig Moireasdan, Anna NicIlleDhuibh agus Seonaidh Mac an t-Saoir, ceòladairean ùra (Eilidh Lamb, Raibeart Iain MacAonghais, Doireann Marks agus Fionnlagh Mac a’ Phiocair) agus am fear ainmeil e fhèin Donnchadh MacFhionghain taisbeanadh seachad a tha gu tur ann an Gàidhlig a bheir an cànan beò agus an eachdraidh is an dualchas na lùib anns a bheil na h-Eileanan Siar gam bogadh. Air a chur an làthair le Taigh-tasgaidh is Ionad-ealain Thaigh Chearsabhagh ann an com-pàirteachas le Ionad Cruthachalachd nan Eilean.
THE MUSIC OF NORTH UIST
A special night of music and song from North Uist - Celebrating the island’s rich musical talent and heritage, leading musicians (including Julie Fowlis and Ellen MacDonald), The Band From Rockall and the Taigh Chearsabhagh House Band featuring Padruig Morrison, Anna Black and Seonaidh MacIntyre, up-and-coming talents (Eilidh Lamb, Robert John MacInnes, Doireann Marks and Fionnlagh Mac a’ Phiocair) and the legendary Duncan MacKinnon present a programme entirely in Gaelic which brings to evocative life the language and culture which steeps the Outer Hebrides. Presented by Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum & Arts Centre in partnership with the Centre for Island Creativity.
*This performance will be available to watch for one week after the live date to accommodate different time zones.
This performance is included in the Celtic Connections 2021 festival pass, so you will not need to purchase this event if you have already purchased a pass.
