Founded in 1996 by piper Hamish Moore with support from Gaelic arts agency Pròiseact nan Ealan, Ceòlas in South Uist has grown from a week-long music & dance school into a world-leading cultural heritage organisation. The now-fabled summer school annually attracts over 100 international students, taught by today’s finest traditional musicians.
Join them tonight for the ultimate Hebridean cèilidh in the city, with Dàimh, Kathleen MacInnes, Allan Henderson, Ailean Dòmhnullach, Anna Wendy Stevenson & Simon Bradley, Mairi Rankin, Gillebride MacMillan, Sineag MacIntyre, Mairi MacMillan, Fin Moore, Paul McCallum, Frank McConnell & Cape Breton’s Miller | MacDonald | Cormier alongside singers, pipers, fiddlers and dancers.

Accessible toilets
There are accessible toilets located to the right of the entrance to the auditorium on the ground floor and on the balcony adjacent to the Candleriggs Bar.
Assistance dogs
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome and are allowed in the auditorium.
Hearing loop
This venue does provide audio described performances.
There is a hearing assistance system. The hearing system is infrared. A deposit is required for the sound enhancement system.

There is a baby changing unit within the accessible toilet located to the right of the entrance to the auditorium on the ground floor.

The cloakroom is located on the 1st floor next to the toilets. There is a £1 charge (only open for events or where a client has requested the facility)

Free wifi
There is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with the Old Fruitmarket Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.
