One of Canada’s most exciting Celtic music groups, Còig comprises four highly accomplished multi-instrumentalists from Cape Breton traditional music backgrounds who bring experience in rock, world music, contemporary music and jazz to bear in their award-winning recordings and live performances of haunting traditional songs, upbeat original compositions and driving tunes played with glorious energy.

Orcadian fiddler Catriona Price and Borders harpist Esther Swift (aka Twelfth Day) are classically trained musicians who create edgy, genre-bending music with Celtic influences and sing emotional songs with a worldly perspective. Their latest album, Cracks in the Room, released in 2017 and produced by master singer-guitarist Chris Wood, drew wide praise for its boldness and invention.
