Join us for a very special culinary and cultural
celebration of Scotland and the Caribbean. As we seek to better understand and
reconcile with aspects of our past, dinner from Andi Oliver, Pam Brunton and
Dean Parker will focus on what binds us and will point the way to an ever more
inclusive and harmonious future.
In discussion before dinner, Andi, Pam and Dean will explore the role of chefs and food writers in enhancing cultural understanding and appreciation.
We will also enjoy a poetry recital from Jackie Kay CBE.
Andi Oliver, one of the UK’s most prominent television presenters, is also a chef and author, who specialises in the food of her Caribbean heritage. She is best known as presenter of the BBC’s Great British Menu.
Pam Brunton is chef proprietor of the acclaimed Inver restaurant by Loch Fyne, which holds a Green Michelin Star. She published her first book, Between Two Waters, in 2024. She holds a masters in Food Policy from City, University of London.
Dean Parker is the co-founder and chef of Celentanos, an Italian-inspire restaurant which achieved a Michelin Bib Gourmand just six months after opening. He was previously Head Chef at the acclaimed Darby’s restaurant in London.
