Scotland’s leading inclusive dance company, Indepen-dance, presents Gathered Together 2026 from Wednesday 2 - Saturday 5 September.
Over four days, the festival will host performances, workshops and presentations from some of the world’s leading inclusive dance organisations.

A vibrant dance hall comes alive as guests gather to share their passion for movement and connection. This joyful performance highlights collaboration, creativity and the power of dance to bring people together.
Horizons (Y Dance) (Scotland)
SHARED FREQUENCY
Horizons is YDance's Glasgow-based, inclusive, youth dance company for dancers aged 12 – 25 yrs, with and without disabilities. The piece dives into the electric atmosphere of the dance floor, where strangers become community and music becomes movement. From the decks to the dance floor, the rhythm travels in circles - around the room, through the crowd, back to the source.
Barrowland Ballet’s Wolfpack (Scotland)
Ha, Ha, Ha
Barrowland Ballet’s intergenerational company aged between 7 and 80+ create performances that are playful, surprising and full of heart. Their new work Ha, Ha, Ha finds humanity in connection while pushing back against a world shaped by division and blame.

The Small Ensemble (Indepen-dance, Scotland)
Shadowlands by Marc Brew
Shadowlands is a brand new work from acclaimed disabled and queer choreographer, Marc Brew, for Indepen-dance, exploring the shadows and intriguing stories behind the traditional family portrait.

BSL Interpreted by Yvonne Strain and Mel Toner - BSL signers will be on Stage Right.
Audio Described by Emma-Jane McHenry of Moving Words. Pick up AD headsets from the Information desk in the foyer.

Restoration fund

Accessible toilets
Accessible toilets are available on all three levels of Tramway, and come equipped with handrails and emergency pull cords. Please contact Tramway prior to your visit if you have any additional requirements
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome. We can provide a bowl of water for an assistance dog. The assistance dog toilet area is located to the rear of the building.
Assistance dogs are allowed in the auditorium.
Wheelchair access
There is level access to all Tramway spaces and the cafe, with lift access to the upper spaces.
There are designated spaces for wheelchair users in the theatre.

Cafe or restaurant
Full table service is not available. Food or drinks can be ordered at the counter and will be brought to the table.
No tables are permanently fixed. No chairs are permanently fixed.
Menus are hand held only, but are clearly presented in contrasting colours. Menus are not available in Braille.

At times, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.
The public are only permitted to record and take photos where explicit permission has been granted in advance.
Free wifi
There is free Wi-Fi available at Tramway, which you can access by registering through Facebook or an online form. Once registered, you can access free Wi-Fi whenever you are at Tramway.
Please note, Tramway does not offer a cloakroom or bag storage service. During large-scale and busy events bag searches may be in operation and bags larger than A3 size will not be admitted to the venue.
