Make a Mark at Saturday Art Club

We are taking part in the Big Draw 2026! Join us this October for a month of Saturday Art Club activities all around drawing and Black History Month. We will be inspired by artists in the collection such as Walter Price, Christian Noelle Charles, Chris Bramble and Najma Hussein Abukar, plus taking inspiration and learning from the history of the building itself. 

The following Saturdays, 10:30am-12:30pm, free, no booking needed:

3^rd Oct - Drawing without expectations: Make drawings with your non-dominant hand using all kinds of materials and tools! Inspired by the artwork of Walter Price.

10^th Oct - Look where we are!: Learn about the colonial history of the GoMA building and get inspired using chalks to make marks in the portico and more drawing activities up in the studio.

17^th Oct -  Scratch, Scratch: Design your own sgraffito pot inspired by the artworks of Chris Bramble and Najma Hussein Abukar.

24^th Oct - Layers and shapes: Use carbon paper to create layered monoprints inspired by the artwork of Christian Noelle Charles.
