Ceilidh Meets Garba, is a participatory dance gathering that brings together traditional Scottish Ceilidh and Gujarati Garba. Positioned as a cultural bridge between Glasgow and Ahmedabad, the host city of the 2030 Commonwealth Games, this event celebrates the shared joy of collective movement, music, and festivity.  

Sport, Belonging & Home is a community-led cultural programme that explores how sport, culture, and everyday shared experiences shape our understanding of identity, connection, and home within an increasingly diverse Scotland. Bringing together communities across Glasgow and beyond, the programme unfolds through two connected events that centre both storytelling and participation.  

Together, these events create a platform where stories are shared, traditions are experienced, and communities connect. The programme is open and inclusive, welcoming all residents and visitors, regardless of background or prior engagement with the arts. By centring both screen and participatory culture, Sport, Belonging & Home contributes to a wider vision of Glasgow as an outward-looking, culturally connected city.
