Platter and Patter: Projectionists and Popcorn

Join us for lunch and an afternoon of discussion, memories, and reminiscence exploring the many cinemas along Sauchiehall Street. Led by Chris O'Kane of the Projected Picture Trust – Scotland and Bren MacNeil of Previous Attractions, the conversation draws on decades of first-hand experience working in Glasgow's cinemas, including the iconic ABC. Discover behind-the-scenes stories of cinema life, hear tales of film premieres, celebrity encounters, and unforgettable moments from Glasgow's rich film-going history. The event will also feature archival material and treasures from the speakers' own personal collections.
